Word of the Day: encroach
It's been so long since I've been able to take a day and wash clothes. Today, however, I happily rose and did our laundry in our own washer and dryer. JD's mother finally was gifted with a washer and dryer [but then had to go out and buy a washer because our gift was crap] as long promised, and today I finally washed the clothes. I don't understand what makes this so eventful for me, but I'm so happy. I suppose it's because it's something I can do, something wifely. I'm so silly. And quite lame.
I actually got quite a bit accomplished today. It's been the pattern recently for me to have two days off in a row, kind of like a real weekend except not really on the weekend. So on the Saturday-day I don't do anything, I lay around, hang out, do nothing at all. That was yesterday. On the Sunday-day, I do things, go places, get things done. That was today. I washed, I sent off Kim's books [finally], we paid off the car, I deposited my money, I've watched most of High Fidelity and Empire Records, and now I'm chowing down on chocolate [bad, bad, horrible me] and drinking the rest of the water. That's a lot done for me.
There's this package at the Woodhouse called 'Mother-to-Be' consisting of a massage, a facial, and a pedicure that I told JD I wanted for Valentine's Day. I think, maybe, instead of having him give it to me, I'll buy it myself [and add a manicure for good measure]. Because, you know, deep down, I love going to the spa. I've only gone to the Woodhouse once, but it was one really good time. We'll see about that, though. That would be great.
All right, I'm done. It's 'King of the Hill' time.
Love ya,
Aaron
a spa package sounds heavenly.
