Word of the Day:
eristic
Day three of having little Patrick at home. I do believe that both JD and I are a little sleep deprived, but not too much, far, far less than I expected.
Things people didn't tell me about babies:
They're noisy.
They make squeaky noises when they hiccough.
They've got beautiful eyes.
Maybe that's just my babeh.
Despite my lack of sleep, I've been organizing Patrick's room, cleaning things. I have a seemingly enormous amount of energy, and I have no idea where it's coming from. I've been busy for a week with the posse coming last weekend, with Patrick coming home, with having no earthly idea what I'm doing. I suppose my hormones are becoming balanced again where I can more easily manage my wakefulness and go on less sleep. Fine by me.
And even though I don't know what I'm doing, I seem to be doing all right. Either that or Patrick's a mellow little baby. If he's going to be like he was these past few days all the time, I'm going to be a happy mommy. He doesn't cry unless he wants something, and I try to give him everything he needs before he cries. He's such a beautiful little baby, happy, content, peaceful, curious.
I can't concentrate on what I really want to say. I want to say how much I love Patrick, how much I love JD, how much I love our family and how proud I am of the three of us. That's all.

Patrick in the hospital Monday when they had me room in with him.

Little Patrick in his big carseat before we brought him home from the hospital.

Me feeding Patrick last night. And my hair that I don't like.

Burping in the upside-down position.
scott just got the book and started studying all alone for a week straight. thats probably why he didnt pass.
now hes taking practice tests and working with my brother on it.
hopefully hell pass it next time.
i bought it before you had him and i was worried that youd have a girl and not like it...but it all worked out.
