Word of the Day: advertent
I don't have to work till Sunday.
So yesterday Patrick got his first practice with cereal in a spoon. It was really funny, he was mad the whole time. It's actually not even cereal, it's a spoonful of rice flakes with lots of formula, but it's not in a bottle, which is what he doesn't like. My mommy helped me yesterday, but I was on my own today. I put him in his bouncy chair facing me and started off with the bottle. I switched off from bottle to cereal, and he surprised me by not spitting a whole lot of it out. Though he looked so sad sitting there crying, not breathing, turning red in the face, all because I took his bottle away. Poor little babeh.
We had a service committee meeting today. It was dumb, but we got more discussed than in any other meeting I'd been to. After we were done Jeff asked me if I wanted to become a member of the management. I told him I couldn't be there as much as he was, I wouldn't be able to do it unless I was co-manager with someone else. Though on Monday I'm going to tell him that he should get Cyndi to be his assistant for real and have Adrian give me the human resources position. He had told me a month or two ago that if Teresa left, he'd take on accounting as well as the front desk and have Cyndi help him out as his assistant or co-manager and have me do human resources and help out at the desk. I loooooooooove that idea. I never see Cyndi working on human resources more than an hour or two a day. The rest of the day she hangs out in Jeff's office, checks rooms, etc. She only does human resources three days a week and she's there five. I could absolutely do that. Monday, Wednesday, Friday do human resources and Sunday be morning manager on duty [since I freakin am anyways], and that's my four days. I could even work five days, I guess, if I did what Cyndi did. I mean, really.
