Word of the Day: dilatory
Indeed, Baby is making its presence known, finally. I suppose it likes to move around in the mornings because that's the only time I feel kicking at the moment. Silly Baby.
I forgot to mention previously that we're now sleeping in a king sized bed. JD's mother switched us beds, so now she has our full and we have her king. And man, is it ever really really nice. Now we don't fight when we're sleeping, kicking and trying to steal the covers away from each other. I woke up in the middle of the night the other night and turned over to find JD huddled up against the wall on the opposite side of the bed with about three feet in between us. It was kind of nice. I haven't woken up to elbows poking me in my head or back and he's less disturbed by my neurotic moving around and restlessness. We're both sleeping more better. The only bad thing is that the bed takes up about two-thirds of our room, which is kind of small to begin with, and it makes it hard to manuever around without crawling over the bed. But I'll take it over the full any day.
So yesterday we had this whole huge ordeal at the hotel. First off, Cyndi had called about 5:30 am to let Ana know that she was sick and couldn't come it. Apparantly, she called me to come in for 7-3 instead of 3-11 like I was scheduled. And I would have gone, maybe not right at seven but maybe eight or eight-thirty, if I hadn't have left my phone in my car [it was on silent anyways, but I might have heard it vibrate if it were next to me like normal]. So, they called Nicole in to help DJ [who's still new and can't work by herself] for the morning. I got there at three to find Nicole, with whom I was supposed to work the afternoon, leaving and DJ, who had been there since seven, to work the evening with me. I was really happy that I didn't have to work with Nicole, but I felt bad for DJ because she was going to try pulling a double shift [and I know how hard those are]. Thankfully, it wasn't busy at all, so we just sat around for the first few hours talking and doing the little work we had. And then it started to rain. It was really really scary tornado weather, and the lights kept flickering, the parking lot was flooded, leaks sprung up everywhere [because the stupid bastards at Corporate can't use real roofers] and, what was even more scary, the lights at the hospital across the street kept going out. They called at the airport for us to pick up the Skywest pilots, and James slowly made his way there in the van, but when he got there, they told him the flight had been rerouted back to Houston and he had to come back in the pouring rain and flooded roads. It was too dangerous for him to be driving anywhere, stupid Julie at Skywest. Moron. So the weather was really scary, we had to comp some employee rooms since all the roads were flooded, and Linda even called down from her room to ask if we were all right. JD came to the hotel around nine to be with me, at first saying that we weren't going to make it home, but then, at eleven and after it hadn't rained in a couple of hours, driving me home in the Subaru [because my little car certainly wouldn't have made it home]. But it was really scary there for a few hours. I'm glad I was working with DJ instead of Nicole, too, because Nicole probably would have started freaking out on me, and that was the last thing I needed.
Nothing of substance, nothing of substance...

I don't know if it's just that he doesn't like covers or prefers to sleep on the comforter and cover himself with the pillows.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Beds are awesome.
Peace and blessing
