Word of the Day: praxis Now this is what I'm talking about. Patrick's sick, which sucks. He's grouchy and sleepy and doesn't want to sleep and wheezy and drippy and angry, etc. They said he didn't have a nap this afternoon so I know he's sleepy, but I can still hear him playing in his crib after nearly half an hour. He's going to the doctor tomorrow and we'll see what he says. He hasn't been sick in nine months [on Wednesday, by the way], so I guess that's not so bad. JD got a hair cut last week, which also sucked. I don't know if people listen to him when he says what he wants done with his hair or what, but it was all boyish. So he busted out the shears and he made me cut his hair all the way down. I've never cut anyone's hair before [barring my foray into hairstyling at the age of three or four the day before a dance recital and trimming my bangs], so I was nervous. We both like it, my sexy husband and me. So Adrian wants to cut back even more on payroll, so he told Jeff to cut some desk hours and have Yadida and I work at least two or three days a week. This sucks majorly. I worked today and I work Wednesday at the desk. Today felt like a Sunday at the hotel. No one was there except Adrian in and out. And it always seems that when I'm at the desk Yadida's gone and I don't have a luxury of transferring reservations to the back. I always wonder why when there's five people at the desk trying to check in or out or both Adrian doesn't have someone help me, but when there two or three people at the desk with Anitra or Ana, he'll tell us to go and help. Damn it, I hate being good at what I do. Oh yes, and tying up some loose ends from the last entry--no calls from the Best Western, the mil is fine, and I really hate Lost. The end.
