Word of the Day: collegium
Over the past few months, I've realized that I really love my life. I love my family so much. We might not have a lot of money, I might not have any friends here [still], and even though our jobs suck, I love it all. Being alive is amazing, isn't it?
And now, since that's about all that's happened, here are the pictures.
Patrick was so good opening presents for Christmas. He was like the mediator, handing out presents and making sure things didn't get too out of control.
He got a ton of dinosaurs and other animals, and also more blocks [along with miscellaneous clothing items and colors]. If you notice the Wiimote back there behind his wagon, that's mine. It didn't come with a Wii, though, but I would have killed JD if he got me a Wii...even though I want one.
One of only a handful of pictures of my husband with a genuine smile. Awwwwwwww.
Patrick loooooves peanut butter, loves like he'll eat it for every meal if he could. So my mother, for his present, got him a four pound can of peanut butter. He was so excited, and I won't have to buy peanut butter until April or May.
My food! And even though it was nothing special, it was mighty tasty.
I love seeing my two loves together like this. Remember these?--
Wah!! My baby's not a baby anymore! When the hell did this happen? In fact, Patrick will be three on Saturday. We had to give him one of his gifts early this year. What did he get?
His very own double sized bed to roll around in. No more lame converted crib and lame crib mattress. Instead, a big bed and new covers and sheets and pillows. He's slept in it since Saturday, and, so far, he hasn't been afraid of it or fallen out of it. Every birthday, we've done something like this, something rather big and life-changing for Patrick. One--threw away his bottles. Two--changed the crib to a daybed so that he could get in and out whenever he pleased. Three--brand new [to him] bed that will probably stay with him until he moves out. We're going to take him to the zoo and get him a bike on Saturday, so there's still something for him to look forward to.
I'm loving life too. Call me some time! i think about you often! kim
