Word of the Day: equinox
We worked on our rooms, and I think they're getting to their final forms. We put the big TV in our room and we'll put the smaller TV along with JD's PlayStation 2 and my NES in the other room with the couch. We're having problems with the internet/cable, but he'll fix it somehow, he'll figure it out. He's a genius.
So I was reading on the news about a company called Zero-G which offers weightless flights for tourists. For some reason, I have a major problem with this. I'm freaking out that people are doing this for entertainment and not for any other purpose. I mean, this is a private company doing this, designing a plane to fly parabolas, trying to train people using their own system, not seeming to give any substancial or proper training for the flyers, not letting people know on their website the real dangers of flying zero gravity [see remember that one movie]. I don't know, this whole thing just doesn't seem right to me. They're charging three thousand dollars a seat for fifteen parabolas because most people start getting queasy after fifteen. Three thousand dollars for one Martian parabola, one Lunar parabola, and thirteen zero-gravity parabolas. Nope, sorry, that doesn't really entice me. This stuff bothers me like the people trying to build a non-government funded spacecraft bothers me. That's just not safe.
And now...obligatory favorite pictures from Fly High!
Me playing...
...and me [trying] to work.
Okay, enough of that. I have an appointment today at one o'clock. My mommy came to visit me the other day and I took her around the apartment. She seemed happier that I was in a little bit more better looking place. Hopefully she'll be able to meet me after my appointment and we can talk a little bit. Daddy's going to New Mexico on Friday to hunt, so one day in the next week I'm going to have to go home and get Betty and my camera and go through all my stuff upstairs and hang out with Mommy. Lately I've been feeling those mood swings a whole lot; hopefully that's going to stop soon. I don't like that so much. And my attention span is all out of whack. Which is why this paragraph has about four subjects. And why I'm going to take a shower now.
nonetheless, have a good day and a nice shower. au revoir.
