Hold on to the feeling of ever, of never, and forever. Stand in the sill of a window, hands holding on to balance and debate; jump or fly, dream or die. Come away to Neverland, or stay and grow up. So torn, so torn; hold on to yesterday, plunge into tomorrow, forget the things you used to think and become blind to the things you now know. Walk the plank! Walk the isle, walk down death row. Your feet will only carry you so far; find your wings. Sprinkle some pixie dust and find your happy thought. Keep your eyes open; second dream to the right and straight on till death. Don't get lost. Don't drown, swimming helplessly with mirmaids; whores; greed; gaurd against the troubles and laugh and fight; sword against words, mind over matter. Believe in fairies; dreams; impossibilities; accomplishments; love. Remember your innocence. Lost boy, don't lose sight of yourself Under The Influence of them; parents, friends, the media. Pretend. Show yourself to little ones and let them in on your secrets, chanting out the made-up songs; track the indians; track your dreams; fight the pirates; pilage your own treasures; fight the siren; don't get lost in a non-existant love. Lost boys, lost girls, so confused and torn, stay innocent, stay young, stay as you are. Come away; come away from abuse; war; angst; venom; come away where it's all pretend. That's what it is right now, isn't it? Just pretend? False fronts to the very people who judge us while we judge them back and we all walk as idiots through life in the sound and the fury.
Well not me. I have my happy thought. I've gone away.
