"Drum majors, is your band ready?"
I'll be hearing that in x amount of hours, standing on a field before an enormous crowd with judges eagle-eyeing our every step. We salute the question, yes, we're ready, and take the field. But I wonder, are we really? Yesterday morning we had an awesome show- yesterday night was horrible. And today...well I wonder if in their immature dreaming if something did not click inside their heads- do they get it? Do they understand that THIS is IT? Maybe we didn't talk about it enough, build it up enough...I don't know. But I hope, by the time we get there, they understand and become the slightest bit frightened. And I hope that, as we three stand alone on that field, the award we accept for us all is one to be proud of.
In other news, I miracuously made Coffee House. 3 times a charm, I guess. I hadn't even planned on auditioning but someone else decided not to on the day of their audition, so I took their slot and paniced to find something to audition with. Unexpectedly, I used my Bougainvillea Love monologue and it went over quite well. So I'll be performing it during a night of Coffee House. Pretty damned cool. Kris, naturally, is in five hundred acts (~.^) and I'm really excited what he and other people are doing.
