It's technically Sep. 7th now (12:28am). It's been a very long day. Biggest news of all: Kristen had her baby today! She went in for a doctor's appointment this morning because they've been keeping a close eye on her and decided that the fluids that are supposed to be protecting the baby were beginning to go bad, so they needed to get the baby out. So she had a c-section at 2:30 and less than an hour later, out comes a 4lb, 11 ounce red-headed baby girl! Kris and I got there as soon as we could and everyone took lots of pictures. The baby is perfect. Kristen and Nick still aren't sure what to name her; it's between Braelynn (not sure on the spelling) and Sydney. I don't like Sydney that much, but I have to admit it's growing on me. Kristen is doing well. Itchy face and a little numb, but clearly overjoyed by her baby. And in the rest of life less amazing... CV is blowing up with drama. We had a floor meeting tonight beginning at 9:30. It ended about 10:30 but I didn't stop talking with students until well, about 20 minutes ago. There's clashing personalities, inferiority complexes, exclusion, rumors, dating and break-ups, oh just a lovely tangle of things. I'm glad I don't have to deal with drunks or drugs, but I think the emotional stuff can be a little more tiring. But hey, that's why I'm here, right? And then of course there's Leah and Liz...Liz and I shall be talking a lot tomorrow. Anyway, Happy Birthday Kroy and baby Williams!! Carrie
