The words of marriage travel through the air like a sweet perfume, catching us all by pleasant surprise; it lingers, and then fades away into a happy memory. Let you look back on it and remember all its goodness and everything you felt.

Good weekend, me thinks. Parent's Weekend meant my family (mom, dad, Jacke, Tim) coming down for the football game. I bought them all shirts and even got a special 'Future sundevil' shirt for Kristofer. : ) We had a pretty good time at the game, watched the marching band and then left after half time. We lost the game, unfortunately. We met Kris back at my dorm and gave Jackie and Tim some wedding presents; cake knife and serving utensils, engraved, as well as a frame. All very nice stuff. I've ordered their guest book(s) so hopefully that will be arriving very shortly.
Next morning, got up early and went to church. I played flute accompaniment for the children's choir. That was pretty fun; a bit nerveracking though. Ridiculous of me, but I always get so stressed out when I have to perform--except theatre, I rarely got nervous before a show. Anyway, had a quick lunch and then Kris and I had to go to his friend, Laura's wedding; beautiful wedding, I thought--just a bit boring for us because the only people we knew (besides the bride) were Jessica and Jeff.
Anyway, it's all over and my boy is gone again. The good news: I'm going up north this weekend for NAU band day, which will give me 3 days with him. ^.^
Returning to the usual mechanics of college, shuffled through the mailbox and checked my classes online. Discovered a buttload of history reading and then we have our midterm on Friday, which I am extremely nervous about. This class is so hard to follow. I never feel like I'm soaking in the right stuff--or anything at all. Politics and I, we're about as compatible as math and English.
Well now, that is all. Sorry for the lack of interesting things to say. I'll come back with something sharp tomorrow.
Carrie
