We're on a roller coaster, she said. Boy, was she right.
I went to Murdock at 12:15 today to see if there really was a psyc class--to my absolute luck, there was! So now I will have horrendous Mondays and one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but more importantly, I will be able to be at Saguaro every day at 3 for rehearsals--except Wednesdays. To my surprise, Leah was very unbending towards me missing any class, much less the two permitted absenses. Her response to my planning was far less emotional than I was expecting and seemed more to dump the rule book in my lap. But whatever. I've got everything worked out now, so no one has to compromise (except me, of course).
Today was a rough day--soooo long. I spent some more time studying for astronomy, but I've gotten to the point of beating a dead horse, as Mr. Miller would say. However, I'm going with Josh at about 8 tomorrow morning to meet with a man who might have some last-minute clarifications for us before the exam. I think if I can just keep my head on straight and think about everything logically I'll be just fine, but teachers are always fond of throwing screwballs and multiple choice always makes me dizzy. But hey, "negative waves, Moriority."
As it were, the astronomy lab tonight was no picnic either. I used to love Orion but now I' m beginning to loathe the constillation. On the upside, we went to the planetarium again where that awesomely cooky old guy told us neat stuff. Here's a pop quiz for you, Name all the cardinal directions; Go:
Ok, now why did you list North first? A Navajo would have first said East because East bears importance where North has a rather dismal connotation to it. That's why church doors always face the East (or at least one of the reasons).
So tomorrow commences auditions for Thread--finally! I actually got a hold of T today (another 'finally'). So we're all set and I'm anxious. As anxious as I am to get started and work with my cast, I'm also interested to hear all the character interpretations from the students. This should be a lot of fun.
Off to bed now...not much else to do, really. Studying would just be me sitting under a light, staring at the text and thinking nothing= waste of time. Better to have that good night's rest.
So wish me luck on the dreaded astronomy test...next is Mass Communications on Wed. Bleh.
