Christmas is almost here and, as always, I don't really feel prepared. Ironic since I'd been look forward to Christmas this year since before even Thanksgiving. Ah well, that's the way it goes I guess. You get so caught up in your life week to week; or at least that's how it is for me.
Well, I'm comfortable at home now. Kris and I doing wonderful and have really been enjoying the no-stress time together.
The week has flown by. Mom and I just finished our shopping today and have lots more wrapping to finish. Last night was very cute. We sent Kris to the store to get some groceries we hadn't realized we needed and also to get my annual old romance films for my wrapping marathon. He picked up One True Thing, which was a book I read a few years ago and really enjoyed. Well, we put in the movie on and soon we had the sub-titles on so Grandma could understand what was going on, Kris was content watching on the couch, and mom and I eventually quit our attempts to wrap anything because we were too occupied in the movie. I've caught a bit of a cold so I was a joy with vicks on my nose as Kris and I went to bed. It was very nice, having someone I was so comfortable with that I could be a mess and he'd cuddle me anyway. This break--the holiday break--has been very good for us.
We've been practicing bell choir for the Christmas Eve service. I love bell choir; look forward to it every year. The Crofton's are playing with us this year. Andrew's hair is so long! On the contrary, I'm not sure I mentioned yet that Kris got his hair cut short with blond highlights. I looks really good, very Bond.
Hmm...well, I guess that's all I can say before tomorrow. The other day mom and I did our usual bake-a-thon; butter cookies, "tittie" cookies, and apple pie. All veeeeeerrrry yummy!
Ok, well I'm starved and I've got presents to wrap.
Happy Holidays!
Carrie
