Beautiful Saturday morning, brought to you by a great Friday night.
I dilly-dallied around the house Friday morning, putting off my return to Tempe, as usual. Got here, did "stuff", studied here and there, and finally it was time to get it over with. My class was huddling together outside the building, so we talked about how nervous we were, how anxious we were to get it over with, and finally we were inside with the final exam in our hands. I was relieved to find a large percentage of it I had already gone over in a practice exam given by my instructor, so I at least hade those sections taken care of. Finished alright, a B I'm guessing, and I'll keep my B for the semester.
Afterwards I picked up Wren and we went to Ruby Tuesdays for "dinner" (the service was terrible and the food was worse, I had two bites of soup and two Shirley Temples, my true 13-year-old drink) with all of the French classes and instructors. Wren and I talked to our instructor, David, most of the night, as well as a kid I had met through a swing dancing class and another extremely blunt, love-to-curse-in-a-forgeign-language-tell-it-like-it-is kind of guy who is going to France in five days to fight in the army. Strange character. I enjoyed his company.
We arrived at the restaurant at 9:30. We left at 12:30. It was a grand ol' time.
As I was walking back to my room, I ran into some of my residents who were going out for food ("At 12:30??" "Sure!"), so I tagged along with them.
About 1, I walked back into my room. Talked to some people online, watched part of a very cool movie, and finally crashed around 3. Good times.
And now, on this glorious Saturday, I've done little except shower and clothe and sit on the computer. Well then, off to soak in the sun and get some errands taken care of.
A bientot!
Carrie
