Well having my wisdom teeth extracted wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I wasn't loopy and after a good gag when I first walked into the house, I've been fine. I've had a lot of apple sauce and mashed potatoes in the past two days, but overall I'm not in too much pain and my cheeks aren't too puffy.
Today we (mostly mom because I passed out a couple times here and there) took down all the Christmas decorations. It's officially over. Things are back to normal and I'm reminded of all the things still on my to-do list before I go back to school.
One of those things is to go snowboarding, which Kris and I plan to do next week. He just bought himself a board and boots so all we need to do now is pick a day! I'm very excited. I've been looking forward to going boarding ever since I got home.
I also need to finish the book I started after finals, The Thirteenth Tale. I bought it without realizing there had been some big hoopla about it, but so far I'm not impressed. It's very slow moving and while I love some of the passages, some of the writing bothers me. I hope it gets better or I may not finish it before I go back and then who knows how long it will take me. I'm a very slow reader, especially when I have so many other things going on.
Dorky moment: I've finally dug into my Facts of Life DVD and it is just as amazing as I remember it! Joe is my hero! She's a cold hearted bitch, but that's really not her fault. Anyway, I'm a major dork for loving that show so much and I'm really crossing my fingers that they release the next seasons.
Tomorrow is New Years Eve. Do you have your resolution? I think I know mine, and something different from the "I'm going to lose weight this year" bull.
Anyway, happy new year!
Carrie
