Gee... why was I worried? I should have know this sort of thing was inevitable. *sigh* Well, I got cast in RenFest. I'm back in the Enchanted Forest. Whoopi. I dunno, I've been there before, and I don't really know anyone there this year, and everything's changed, so I'm none too excited. I knew I'd prolly end up there, and I do miss it, sorta. And I got one of the characters that I liked: I'm Raven, the birdy fae. But that isn't what has me so "amused".
I also was cast in a different role, in a manner of speaking. I'm an understudy. Not just an understudy, but the understudy for the leading Pirate girl, the one and only captain's daughter, Cutthroat Rose. Now, you'd think that was a good thing as it -was- the part I wanted, and if the person who was cast opts out of the role or something happens to her I get to be Rose. But, no, no such luck. All that is true, but I'm certain none of it will happen, and I can't even hope for it because of who was cast as Rose. None other than my older sister! Yay. I am my sister's understudy. *giggles* Isn't that grand? Its like a bad movie. The story of my life. "Here, you can have the closest thing to what you want, but not that." Its like taking someone to a pool on a 120 degree day and telling them they can swim ONLY IF everyone else leaves. Like THAT will ever happen. Or making a professional dancer learn all the dances and practice to be in a competition and then only letting them dance if one of the other dancers there gets injured. Its so mean! *giggles* I just don't know. How am I supposed to feel? Its my sister. I'm not really upset, just... I dunno. Baffeled? *shrug* This is so weird. And I don't even want to tyhink about the OTHER roles and understudies. This is gonna be one hell of a year.
