Ugh! Ow! Gr! Thats really how I'm feeling. Had my doctor's apt this morning... I'm about 4cm dialated now and almost completely effaced. The baby's dropped lower (which explains the agonizing pain). So... my Doctor decided to "strip the membranes", which is pretty much where they poke you in the vagina REALLY HARD and slightly seperate the placenta from the uterus. She didn't really warn me either. ....OW. Anyway, the seperation supposedly causes a release of hormones that should (mind you, I said SHOULD) start labor. So I SHOULD be having this baby within the next few days. But... yeah, that was at about 11:45 this morning and I've only had about 3 contractions since then. I'm beginning to think my uterus is just too darn lazy to contract! Everything ELSE is ready, even the baby, but noooooo. Can't have any contractions! *sigh* Not much I can do though... I mean, that was SUPPOSED to induce labor. Other than a pitocin dose its the medical way to start labor. So I'm hoping... but with my luck. *shrug*
