I want to know where dreaming went
I want a reason why
When did something so emboldening
Become a waste of time?
I used to dream so frequently
I used to know I could
But somehow, somewhere along the way
My dreams became no good
Its foolish now to trust in dreams
Its for children, they’re not real
Life is hard and filled with trials
You can’t waste time on the surreal
“You need a plan, not silly dreams
Be practicalâ€, I’m told
And yet, since dreaming went away
I feel empty… tepid… cold
Where is this place that dreaming went
Please tell me, I must know
I don’t care if its another world
Where dreaming went, somehow, I’ll go
