1:31 Friday Afternoon
The Sun Shines but the Children are Blind
I walk down the suburban culdesac street; I see perfect lawns and no children playing on them. I see a window with the blinds open and I see a little person. He is blind to me. I can see him and he cannot see me. He watches a glowing box and is blind to the warmth of outside.
Anyway, yesterday was great.
I woke up at 7:15 and took a bus to Caleb's, and we went to a beach far away, it was wonderful. I got badly sunburned, however, damn that hole in the ozone.
We had our romantic dinner and had ISC about the moon walk and how it captured the imagination of the entire world. He is sad that nothing like that will ever happen again, really. And he is right, I think. There is nothing in the world left to explore except the ocean and people go on expeditions every day to the ocean and no one cares. Space travel is quickly becoming a tourism-oriented industry. I hope the first people on mars are for science not for commerce. We also talked about mining colonies on other planets and I decided that mining on other planets was completely disrespectful to earth and basically stealing from the other planet. Like "Oh sorry, Earth, we've used you up. we're gonna go be parasites on another planet now." something like that.
It sounded a lot more articulate in my head.
Resident Evil wouldn't work in his dvd player so hel'l have to bring it over here, same with The Magestic.
We did finish watching Fern Gully, however, that was soooo good. I love that movie.
I'm going to go now. Inside is too dark in comparison to outside. The burning of my barefeet on the pavement is so much better than the tepid climate indoors.
and i love the dont comment if you have a music diary - fuck everyone with music on their diary.
