Listening to: incessant buzzing of the aeration pump
Feeling: tired

  I AM thankful, I swear!
Yeah, I took dad tipsy-shopping yesterday evening. We went to sam's club and bought chocolate chips and pineapple. We went to Walmart and looked for bigger pots for our plants (but to no avail). The gardening section has been overgrown with Christmas shit.
I like Christmas just as much as the next person but lawn ornaments like gigantic blow-up snow people really speak only of waste to me.
We ended up buying some more red LED lights to wrap around our spruce (it was our living christmas tree a few years ago and it's done quite well since being planted in the backyard). I also roped him into getting me a 5 gallon tank for my fish instead of the adorable-but-cramped 4000 mL Erlenmeyer Flask. It's cheap but it will do for now until i can buy a house and invest in a better system.
The lady at the checkout was having a bad day apparently, but she only had 20 minutes left of her shift so she was still hopeful that her day would get better. i hope it did.
I sort of feel like I accomplished something today. I've started the cleanup process. I put my working-but-inkless typewriter away and that made room for my computer. so now i have a computer on a desk instead of a computer in a lap on a bed (which always makes me feel sleepy).
I sort of kinda ordered some financial papers (just receipts), moved my bed to the corner and my dresser to the other side of the room, organised said dresser, cleaned my fountain, made piles of thigns like recycleable papers and stuff that is in my room but should be in the bathroom.
my desk is still quite messy though compared to what it was this morning, it's muuuch better. also i picked up all my clothes because i'm awesome that way. and did some reorganizing of electronics.
so far i've found $3.57 in loose change, 3 packets of hotsauce from Taco Time, a nearly finished roll of duct tape, a key that goes to a house I cared for last new years (that the owners have since vacated, so i'm left with a random key that i don't want), several burned down candles...and that's about it.
i haven't found anything that i wanted to find. oh well, i'm still looking.
Good job on cleaning up. I'd like to 'put away' some things, but I have nowhere to put things away to. Sad. The other day I was just thinking of how horrible it would be when I finally have to move out. I just have so much...shit. As in books, music, dvds....I'm so materialistic. And I like to collect crap waay too much.
Ps. SQUIRREL!!! I want one.
(Bad pun, bad!)
