  Tired Vacation
So our trip to Wellington was, in a word, interesting...
I thought it was kind of dumb that some of our friends got drunk two out of the three nights we were there...To me that's like, hey Zeb good to see you again, let's totally put ourselves into a drunken stupor to waste our expensive time in an expensive manner!
The stupid-est bit to me was the second night they went to town. I didn't care that much that they were going to town, you know, it's their choice how they spend their time and money. The thing that got me the most was how they came back at 10 pm from Zeb's hall just as Caleb and I were about to go to sleep. Caleb felt obligated to play cards with them for "a while" as he was there to be with Zeb. But why did he have to stick around when they stopped playing poker and started playing drinking games when he doesn't even drink? To keep our drunken-ass "friends" from breaking shit.
THAT pissed me off.
(and caused strife between caleb and me when he came back up at nearly 12:30 am.)
Also I felt bad for Vetti...Simply because if I was in her shoes, I'd feel pretty bummed out if I only got to see my boyfriend a few days every month or so and the majority of those few days were spent drunk and stupid. But whatever floats their boat.
I got a migraine headache on Friday due to the heavy wind. We went to Te Papa, though, and that was fun. After, of course, bumming around at the uni waiting for Zeb who wasn't even there. They told me that "we" had already decided that we were going to go to the Uni and then no one could get through to Zeb, who we were supposed to be meeting there. He finally texted me back being like "lol, i'm at my hall. i skipped my lecture today, i thought you had decided not to come to the uni."
It all kinda annoyed me so I left veti, john, and mike to their pool game and dragged tom and caleb to te papa. But we found a bakery where Tom could get donuts and I got a peppermint slice. yum. Plus I love Te Papa.
Saturday was interesting, got up really late and ended up at a cafe for lunch where I didn't really feel like spending the money to eat. I left and went wandering around instead. I found a busker! yay. He was talented with his basketballs.
From there I got texted and told we were going to the zoo, which was kinda sad because I hadn't had anything to eat and was under the impression that we were going back to our hostel beforehand. Ah well. The zoo was great (barring my hunger and fatigue), full of amazing animals. I played a game with an emu (aka I annoyed the poor emu) and fed a giraffe and admired the capuchin(o) monkeys and watched some babboons get it on.
it was like 5 pm when we got back so we cooked tea and they left to go to Zeb's hall, and from there i've already discussed the horrors and upsets of the evening.
Sunday was alright, got up at 8ish and packed and got ready to check out and such, then had breakfast and checked out, then the others went to see a movie and Caleb and I went shopping. It was fun wandering around all the cool little shops. I enjoyed myself. Then Caleb and I went back to the hostel and fixed up some leftovers for lunch and talked to some Irish kids who are touring around for a month and an asian guy who's been there for over 2 years. It was interesting.
Then we walked to the parliament building and saw the "beehive" where all of the politicians have offices? i guess? I wonder if they will all die mysteriously like all the other residents of beehives tend to have done. except if the politicians did, it wouldn't have quite the same detrimental effect as the actual bees are bound to have.
It scares me, the death of the bees.
Anyway, yeah we were just making the most of our last few hours in wellington before we had to be at the airport, found a cheap arcade and had dinner, then caught an expensive taxi to the airport and left. Good times. for the ..some parts.
yeah. Oh well, I guess i'm glad I went. it was worth it in the end. anyway i'm gonna go have a nice not 5 minutes long shower.
