7:38 Monday Morning   The Decade isn't a Romantic One Think about it. I read a column yesterday about why the lady writer didn't like valentine's day. One of her reasons was because it was so unromantic these days. She was like "Everything's so cliché," in her article. I blame it more on the technology boom. I mean, what. A romantic text message from one cellphone to another? The gift of a new notebook computer? A cute, sappy e-card? Or you could opt for the unromantic cliché stuff that the article writer was talking about- teddy bears, Flowers in pink cellophane. There's no dare or dash in this decade, like the 1900s-1950s. Anyway, Yesterday was the 5 Month. I kissed him out of impatience and haven't regretted it since. Even in my dreams I pick him over hotties like Simon! haha! Went to church, went home, had a small lunch, then went downtown with him. We did the Fancy Feet thing at Cathedral Square, learned the basic step for the Rock and Roll step. we finally got it down, sort of. There's a dance tonight, free, for the entire effing city at Cathedral Square. Tonight. The Valentine's Dance. MC: Bring your Valentine tomorrow night to the Valentine's Dance! Right here! Caleb: Hey. Isn't Alyssa your valentine? It was pretty fun. I love love love love love spending time with him. We sat in my room and talked for ages, not even cuddling, just talking. Blissful sigh. also some starbucks people gave us free samples. Mmmm, caramel frappuchino. I don't mind starbucks coffee. Dad says he doesn't like it because it's overroasted. I think he drinks too much coffee, since he can tell. Coffee addicts are so cute. And edgy. I love the way they're stereotyped in 10 Things I Hate About You. So today is Valentine's day. It's time to sing that old frank sinatra song, "My funny valentine." "My Funny Valentine Sweet Comic Valentine You make me smile with my heart Your looks are laughable, Unphotographable! And yet blah blah blah... Is your figure less than Greek? Is your mouth a little weak? When you open it to speak, Are you smart? blah blah blah blah.." etc. Heheh I love that song. Or those lines from it anyway.
