The Glass is Too Thick, I can't See.
in science you can have a molecule that costs over $1000 for 10 milligrams of it.
in july Modest Mouse is coming to my favourite local city for a free concert and it only costs $20 for me to drive there and back...actually less than that because I will be damned if no one wants to come with me and share gas dollars.
in a week's time Caleb's best friend is stopping by on his way from Chch to The South for a summercamp. I'm a little excited but also a little apprehensive because I'm afraid I'll be the 3rd wheel.
last weekend there was a kerfuffle. it involved friends who probably shouldn't be in the same vicinity as one another for such extended periods of time. it involved street taco vendors who speak flawless English to me and no habla ingles to the people behind me. it involved a planetarium and elusive frozen yogurt that everyone wanted but no one got. it involved free art exhibits and the odd homeless person and tentacle sculptures. it involved tourist traps and blown glass and crowded aquariums that we decided to save for another day. It involved Japantown Street which was one block long and 80% public parking terraces and lots and 20% a Japanese Christian church and Buddhist temple. It involved dining experiences with inattentive waiters and delicious food as well as attentive waiters and mediocre food.
Last Monday I took a final exam. I finished about 82% of it; i don't know how much I got right...enough to get a B+ in the class which is EXCELLENT considering I averaged <75% on the homeworks.... So hooray! I passed!
Next time I'll do better.
