Soil Judging went really well. I started feeling sick the day before we left, but I hid my congestion and sore throat and avoided breathing on people because i don't think we could have gone to the regional competition with only 2 competitors, and everyone else had dropped out but the three of us.
Anyway, it was a bonding experience for the three of us and I learned a lot and we worked together well and scored 2nd place (out of 3 but still), both in the team comp and overall. Individually, we placed 4th, 6th, and 7th. Idaho took 1-3 and probably 8 or 9, Oregon took 5 and lower. Considering we had the fewest competitors and had practised very little beforehand, i was quite pleased with how we did. Particularly I was happy with how well I did, seeing as how I'd never done it before in a competitive setting, with time constraints and rules and whatnot.
anyway!
caleb got his ticket. he flies out on december 14th, a mere 47 days away! everybody dance!
Dr. J and I have discussed possibilities of me as a masters student working on one of her research projects. Hooray for options! Now I just need to apply for graduate school. and graduate. i guess.
yeah.
and....school.
it keeps going.
this weekend is halloween and i have the best make up but no costume.
2) congrats on your competition!
3) YAY CALEBS COMING!!! (*dancing*)
how long is he staying for??
~Love, me~
I promise I would never ever be bored at your wedding, because I actually care about you. But if your bridesmaids wore dalek costumes, I would be extra entertained ;)
Options! Options are good! I need to apply for grad school too and I couldn't be bothered figuring that out. Bahh.
Halloween is...overrated. What's puzzling is that Kmart and the Warehouse have been pushing the Christmas stuff for a good couple of weeks (maybe a month now) but they didn't really do the Halloween thing this year. Hmmm.
