  I Want to Be Her
I e-mailed my grandmother a thank you letter, enclosing this picture:
She said I looked sharp. She also said that she used to have a trenchcoat, and they always seemed so detective/London.
I must say, I agree. In addition to my sexy bowler hat which goes really well with a lot of my outfits, I want a fedora. That would be HOTT with the trenchcoat, in my opinion. I could be like Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca, Independent but still feminine and beautiful with an air of damsel in distress. The pouty red lips and million coats of mascara to frame large, shiny eyes. The soft blonde wavy hair.
I love the 20s-early 50s, I love swing music, and Frank Sinatra. I wish hats hadn't gone out of style except baseball caps and trucker hats...those are ugly. Tall men in tuxedos or zootsuits. I like the fashions of those days, I suppose. The conservative ways aren't really my style, but I like the black and white and the pretty clothes and the way in the movies and the radio news reporters that everyone talks so fast and articulately.
I've always been so jealous of the fast talking kiddies in the East, like New York and New Jersey and Places like that.
I went to the mall on the day after christmas. Everyone was like zombies, desperate for sales and cheap goods rather than brains and flesh. It was an amusing sight.
Oh well. Can't win em all.
nice new stuff though. the umbrella fits perfectly with it.
have a swingin' day.
