I got pulled over
Derek left for his Retreat Thursday....I went over to his house from like 1 to 4:30pm and totally 'distracted' him from packing for his trip. *smiles sweetly* We like laid on his floor and stared at the clock. lol It was amazing. Needless to say, he didn't pack. I had to go home and babysit for like 45 minutes. So we went to my house, Scott was sleeping so Derek sat down on the blue rocking chair and I sat on him, we both soon fell asleep like that. It was cute. Vati came home and found us taking a nap on the chair. Teehee...cute...
Derek was supposed to leave around 5ish to go up to Cinnamon Creek, but didn't go until like 8. It took him an hour and 1/2 to get up there, so he had to set up his tent an' crap in the dark. Stupid boy. I told him to go sooner. He's got to stop being late for things b/c of me.
That night when Derek left I went over to Natalies like right after. She wanted out of the house. We were having a sleepover but we went out to Lee's first where I bought that card "My Miss you Diary" which was like 4 bucks! But it was hiliarious and totally worth it. We both got a pop there too....so we basically drank away our pain from both our boys leaving us. We went to Wally World. It was hiliarious. Drinking does the opposite to Natalie then normal ppl....Instead of driving crazier and faster, she's like stuck to the windshield and going grandma slow. haha..It was hilarious to drink all the memories away.
Derek came back from his retreat around 11ish in the morning and came straight to my house. :D Of course, I was still dead asleep. He came downstairs and kissed me to wake me up. Ha ha. Vati juss let him in and go downstairs. Cuteness! Dream come true! Then we sat there and talked really..lame like..like "how's the weather" type of chat. But it worked. Embarrassing part was that I didn't have any pants on. I usually take 'em off when I go to bed in the summer, it gets hot. But yeah. We talked for an hour..or more...and then he left to finish up at home and so I could get up and dressed.
We had the Day of Celebration Dance practice on the field up there at USU at 4 o'clock. Derek's tire was flat prolly b/c he took it up the canyon the way he did. So we were in the middle of washing the car when we discovered it was flat. He changed the tire, I watched. We limped home. He took the tire in his Vati's van to fix it up and I went home to get ready. I decided to take him (since he doesn't have a car) up with me and two other girls to the dance practice. He seemed kind of antsy to let go of me that day.
Afterwards he wanted to take me out. He said it was weird taking me out in my car. hehe... So he drove me to Jamba Juice. YUM. Mmmm. We had some type of Strawberry one. Too much lime. But I love Jamba Juice. The crazy connection that Jamba has to do with our cars tho....never be able to figger that one out.
Then I dragged him around Hastings perhaps to preoccupy him so he wouldn't think about taking me anywhere else. But of course, his stomach speaks to him and he wanted to go out for Pizza. Pier 49 or something. We went, nobody there. We got a tiny pizza. We had a nice awkward silence. I didn't realize the big plan for the night was going out and actually having a 'convo'. I realize how bad he sucks at conversations. haha. I juss sat there and nodded. We sat in the store for like an hour and 1/2. I finally said we should leave, besides the subject was a lil'...makin' me feel uncomfortableish. *shrugs*
I drove home...well...kinda...
I ran a red light. I shed a few tears. Decided I wanted to go for a longer drive and skipped both our houses. Went up to the canyon where I usually drive. Yeah, I booked it up the hill..like I usually do. But of course, there was a cop there. I knew if any car followed me up there in the canyon it would have to be a cop. Shure enuff...The only problem I have with being pulled over is finding the stupid info the cop needs. I made Derek find everything else. :D
I hate those kind of questions where they try and make you like...dig your own hole and be totally honest and get caught for everything. So I didn't wanna act all blonde or start crying or anything but I wasn't gonna tell him 'everything' exactly. I juss made it look like I was trying to think. It worked.
"Do you know why I pulled you over?" (basic dumb question)
"Um...speed?"
"Do you know what the speed is on this road?"
Of course, I knew it was residential and it was 25, but heck it's in the middle of no where it's a possibly a lot of ppl don't know what it is! haha...
"Um..no"
"Well, it's residential and so it's 25. Do you know how fast you were going?"
Of course not! I could take a wild guess tho.
"Um....."
"Well, I clocked you at 40" (He's impatient)
Yeah, I was going like 20 over around 10:30. Definately ticket time. Well, said Derek as the cop went back to his car. He gave me a run down of what would happen, one problem, based on -his- experience. He's got like 2 tickets and on probation...anyways. But it was all okay b/c the Holy Ghost told me exactly what would happen. Yay, Blunt with Sara! But yeah, 20 over definately deserves a ticket right?
But than again, I'm a girl.
He came back and juss gave me a warning. A verbal warning. Yay! I got off, it's like it never even happened! I still have a clean record!
You should've seen Dereks face. I left after that and was all, "Yeah, 20 over definately deserves a ticket..but then again...I'm a girl!" He was all apalled, "Now I -know- it's true that girls can get away with anything!" Teehee, especially if a Smithfield Cop would let a girl off!
I'm telling you tho. That cop must've been bored enuff to hide up there somewhere and follow me around. Smithfield cops are extremely bored...and very...harsh.. I'm surprised a smithfield cop let me go. Of all the cops...
Not only did I juss get off...But I found that the car juss got registered just the day before. phew...thanks to Mutti.
Mwhahaa....I'm feelin' lucky...
We went homeish and sat in my garage and talked about cops and tickets. Derek told me got two tickets, one a crossing guard violation and the second one was going 26 over the limit. Took away all his points on the Point System so his insurance is like getting higher and higher. He's like on 'probation' he can't get another ticket or else his license is suspended for a month, but if he can go for a year w/o gettin in trouble that goes away, and two years maybe a ticket goes away...and 3 years his record might be clean again. haha....And I still have a clean record! Woo woo! He definately would've gotten the ticket if he was driving that night.
So for my first time being pulled over, it wasn't that scary and I totally got off...and my boyfriend was with me. HA! :D Big Whoop.
