So about yesterday....
I went to Sandy with the brown boy on Trax at like noon. He said we were going to the South Towne Mall, but that's at like 10600 South and Trax only goes to 1000 South. We got off at 9400 and I finally had to ask "Where are we going?" Trax left us right in behind Jordan Commons and I just followed him and ended up at the Sandy Expo center. I didn't really know...where that was. Now I do, but it still wasn't the South Towne Mall.
He wanted to get an XBox 360 for cheap. It cost $9 to get into the Expo I'm not quite sure how, but the lady said we could both get in with one ticket. She said she'd tell the ticket guy so when we walked up and he checks the one ticket and says "Yeah I heard, she's 15, she gets in" I had no idea what was going on and why this man was saying I was 15 and letting us in with one ticket, so I just smiled and looked...uh..young. I have to admit some weird and slightly amazing things happen when that brown boy is around. It's like magic with him.
Speaking of magic, he found his Xbox 360 and found an employee/salesman person and they started discussing prices and in the end the brown boy got a whole list of things for cheap. Everytime he wanted something he'd make the eye contact with this one employee and then bargain with the prices. He got a lot of stuff for cheap we'll just say by bugging that same employee all the time.
Then I saw a Rock Band. For a hundred dollars like it normally is, but with this employee and all his help.... I think I could get 10 or 15 off. Then I wondered why would I get Rock Band? The only reason it crossed my mind at all was cuz Claine told me to get it randomly for Grandmas new giant TV so we could all come play, that or a Wii. Do I take that suggestion seriously? And if I get Rock Band I'm gonna have to get a box to play it with. And the other problem was...I got there on Trax and I'd have to carry it back to Salt Lake with me. haha Oh dear. It was the brown boys brilliant idea for Trax. hah
I decided I could carry it and decided it was worth the price of $90 plus tax for the whole set thing...guitar, mic, drums and software. The brown boy thought I was crazy cuz I was getting the stuff without the box to play it with. "So now you're going to just go out and buy a xbox or something to play it with?" Well, yeah! I gotta have something to play it with. He said "Well this Rock Band is only compatible with a PS2 player." Then I said "Well, then I'll go buy a PS2 player". He's all shaking his head back and forth. What?! I need some motivation to buy some kind of player! Then I started lookin at the games they had PS v. Xbox and found I kinda liked the PS games better.
So there we are with our Xbox 360 and Rock Band on Trax. Met some weird ppl on Trax and then walked to the car to hold the mercandise while we went to the Gateway to find a Game Stop and bought a used PS2 player and then went home. So his shopping trip kinda turned into my massive impulse buy. But it was all under $200. I just had too! Even if it ment carrying it all home. The PS2 Player was $75 and Rock Band was $95.
I can't believe I did that. It might be official that I spent too much on Christmas this year.
I blame Claine for the silly suggestion which I couldn't tell if he was serious or not.
And I blame the brown boy for encouraging me and giving me the knowledge I needed about this equipment in order to buy it all.
But I think Claine will really like it when he opens it on Christmas....maybe Christmas Eve.
I can't wait that long. :D I had to 'test it' by playing with it today.
