I. am. slowly. going. crazy.

My life really only consists of four people right now. The boy that hangs around, the dog at home, the roommate that stops by and pretends to live there every once in awhile and my boss.

And almost -always- 2 out of the 4 are bugging me to death.

My boss bugs me rarely, the dog even more rarely, and the boy the most cuz he's around the most and the roommate usually only bugs me when she happens to be around... Sometimes the mess she leaves behind makes me angry for awhile after seeing her.

The boy drove me insane Sat and Sun. Somehow I let the roommate get to me Mon. And today must be the bosses day.

The boy and I went to a marathon of concerts on Sat in one venue. Music. All. day. long.

Now I like music, not totally in love with it and obsessed like others, but I enjoy it. (I dont have to have music in my ears every time my ears aren't doing anything else....) Maybe not ALL day long and maybe not certain kinds of music. The point of this set up really is so that you can see the bands you want and NOT the ones you don't want. I dont think the boy understood this. He took it as a challenge to see almost every one of them. They are back and forth all day long, you do nothing else, not even eat unless you skip one.

1:00 Solarsuit
1:20 Brogan Kelby
1:50 Codi Jordan Band
2:20 The Dear Hunter
2:55 Family of the Year
3:30 Pepper
4:05 Capital Cities
4:40 Blue October
5:15 The Airborne Toxic Event
6:05 Ed Kowalczyk (formerly of LIVE)
7:10 Panic! At The Disco
I dont know what was wrong with me by my feet hurt after watching like one band perform. I was tired and achy legs already. Not a good sign. We missed Solarsuit cuz I made us late mainly cuz I didnt want to see them. The boy started getting all grumpy after that. Getting so tired of that. We showed up for Codi Jordan band and weren't that interested I think. We explored. Caught some of the Dear Hunter, well not really. I managed to convince the boy we didn't have to be right up front in the rowdy crowd in order to hear/see Family of Year perform.
We skipped the Pepper band because the boy disagreed with my view on listening/seeing the band from afar and letting the 15-16yr olds go crazy up front and mosh and all that and was glued to the Capital Cities stage for the next 30 minutes or whatever.
I was tired and didn't want to stand anymore so I wandered off and let him squeeze in with all the crazy teens and already drunk adults. I went and bought a Family of the Year CD, went to the bathroom, sat down for 15 minutes. Crawled back through the crowd when they started. I actually liked Capital. I actually heard what they were singing, unlike -everyone- else. I didn't need to be right next to the speakers or in front of the drunk dancing lesbians to do such, but whatever.
Right after Capital was apparently the #1 reason/band everyone came for and the place was packed for Blue October. And I wasn't totally impressed with the lyrics, of what I could hear, which was mostly the F word. I'm sure it was somewhat inspirational, as much as you can get I suppose while saying the F word all the time. Recognized like two of his songs.
I wasn't really hungry but I managed to convince him to stop going back and forth from stage to stage for a minute to get something to eat. We got a Gandalfo's sandwhich and as soon as we did it started raining. It kinda rained on us at Capital and Blue Oct, but it really came down on Airborne while we were eating. It got kinda cold. Everything was on hold until the lightning and rain stopped mostly. Set the other bands behind a bit.
The show carried on and we listened from afar for Airborne and attempted this Ed guy. Apparently the older generation knew of this guy better and it wasn't as packed as Blue Oct was. We got bored soon after not knowing any of the songs. Well, the boy knew some of them, but didn't really like that kind of music I guess. We wandered over to more food, this time not to get rained on, and had super nachos with pork too. Yum. I think we were hungrier than we thought. The rain had cooled the day down a lot tho and it felt nice after.
Then I convinced the boy we didn't need to be right in the crowd again to watch Panic!, apparently the #2 reason to come to the marathon of concerts. During Blue Oct the crowd got a little rough and tight and wasn't totally enjoyable. I was tired of it. I was tired of standing. I was tired of his obessive need to be right in the crowd as if he's a teenager or drunk adult, but he claims he has to see them play the guitars and stuff. Whatever. We were tired and were ready to head out but I decided to sit down and listen instead of standing in place for another 30 mins. Then we left like 10-15 minutes before the end of the show and hopped on Trax to go to his car.
Even going to Trax he was juss...bossy. The whole day he was telling me 'stand here and don't let anyone get in front of you' and 'lets go to that band' and 'lets leave this band' and lets do this and this. So when the train came I went to get on and he was halfway down the walk headed for a different door than the one in front of him really. He didn't even blink, miss a beat, or turn around to see I wasn't with him....until he was there. So rude. So mad. We could have been on two different cars and not together and we wouldn't even notice for awhile and maybe I would actually enjoy it more. By the end of the night I was just tired and ornery. Boy, go home.
