Feeling: rushed
"I think you can do much better than me After all the lies that I made you believe Guilt kicks in and I start to see The edge of the bed Where your nightgown used to be I told myself I won't miss you But I remember What it feels like beside you I really miss your hair in my face And the way your innocence tastes And I think you should know this You deserve much better than me" So... car saga not totally over yet. I was slightly jinxed with the whole curse of renewing registration on my car. Monday, two days after I paid for registration, my radiator/coolant hose popped off. The clamp didn't really do it's job there. I just picked up some kids to take to the FHE activity that night and turned the corner and my engine started smoking. Ugh. I remember that problem from when my Honda's radiator cap just popped off. The smell, the sticky stuff spraying everywhere, the smoke. So I pulled over under a street lamp, in a parking spot. I don't know these kids. They're from the ward or something. 2 girls. 2 boys. Packed in my car. But they are dumb like 18 yr olds. One boy requested that I park elsewhere that didn't smell like fish. Problem A) the fish smell WAS my car and problem B) I have limited options about where my car can go at this point in time with lack of coolant to save the engine. Oy. The other boy suggested throwing cold snow on the hot steamy, smoking engine parts to cool it off. Oy. Seriously? I mean...really? Good thing there was no snow around. And good thing it wasn't their car. Well, I got them to call someone to pick them up. I clearly wasn't going to the activity that night. And then I called Claine and told him what the problem was. He came and with his manly greasy hands (I didn't want to do it, let alone think I had the strength to put it back on) put the clamp back on the hose to hold it in place once more. I blame the mechanic shops I've brought my car to several times in the past month. Then we went to Wally World and got gobs and gobs of coolant. There goes a chunk of money I was saving for dads snowblower bday present. My poor car. I hope I took care of the problem quick enough it did not do much damage. I hope it still likes me. That it was just a lil' fluke and nothing permanently disabled or set off a snow ball of things to go wrong in the future. *sniff* I did the right thing this time! I had a car full of people and my car was smoking and I didn't get stressed! No anxiety! I was so proud of myself! Nachos and an Icee for me! Mmm and some super comfortable sweat pants, just like Mindys from my favorite, Target! Speaking of my father. and his birthday. and a snowblower. He is a very impatient, desparate man. He gets on ksl.com and watches everyday, I swear all day, looking for a good deal. That man is not very adamant about a lot of things. Only certain things, that are..important to him. Well, he texts me almost everday and has one picked out that he wants and I call ASAP to see about getting it. I tried on Monday with one he wanted but the guy never showed up and didn't answer his phone. And still looking on Tuesday. But today he asked if I was still helping him find one and told me about one he was interested in as of recently (like 12 hours recent). So as soon as I got the text I called the lady and took my lunch hour to go see it. I liked it. Good price. Pritti old, but does the job, gots a few more miles on it. I approved, but who am I? I put a $160 down payment on it so it'd stay put til Claine came to look at it. He approved. Paid the last $15 and loaded it in his truck and took off. I made a decision and it was approved by someone who knows something about snowblowers! I'm so proud of myself! I thought it was close to his birthday.... He didn't have the money on him. He didn't have a way to buy from ksl up in Logan. So Heck, I thought, why not just buy it for him for his birthday. Cuz it obviously wasn't gonna wait until Christmas. Nobody else understands the insanity cuz he isn't asking them -everyday- to find one for him. Yay! Snow blower saga is over!! Well besides finding a way to get it to the ol' man who wants it ASAP... Yay the car saga and the snowblower saga is finally over!!! ...............right? Phew. One busy day. Lots of phone calls. Lots of money. Lots of deals. Lots of plans to work out. Lots of deadlines. Lots of texting. Lots of work at work. etc.
