Day Two of Vacation:
Went to Zions National Park. We doodled around in the gift shops and such in Springdale. We bought souviers and ice cream and fudge. Then we went and saw the Treasure of Gods movie on the Giant Screen, apparently the biggest screen EVER. It was a summary of Zions history. Awesome.
We drove through Zions and promptly learned as quick as we came in was as quick as we were exiting the park via another highway. So we turned around and went back to the main part of the park and learned you take shuttles up through the park. By this time it was like 2 or 3 in the afternoon and super hot. We didn't want to do much, but the shuttles were perfect. You choose which trails you wanted, hiked and the shuttle takes you to another one or back to your car. It was awesome. We went up to Weeping Rock where water dripped from the rocks and we got wet. Felt so good. We took pictures at other stops and out the window, felt like tourists.
We spent so much time doodling just outside of Zions and in Zions that we didn't have time to see Bryce Canyon. So I purchased a post card on Bryce Canyon and called it good, and we returned to the road we were before and this time continued to exit the park and drove like three hours to Richfield. It was hot so we didn't really want to eat, and when we did it was like junk food, we're such a healthy bunch.
Today was a good day. I'm glad we spent the day at Zions even though we had to skip Bryce Canyon. I had fun going "oh that looks cool/fun, lets stop there!" every few minutes. Mum says "you can't do everything! You don't have time! You can't just do anything you want to on impulse."
....I think she has misunderstood the point of this vacation.
