So the dates have been set for Lasik. Finally.

And the glasses are on. For. two. weeks. Kill me now.

Day One: Ssssuccccckkkkk

There is a really desparate reason I want Lasik and yes, glasses and/or contacts, are the reason.

I can't stand 'em! And they ain't doing my eyes any healthy favors either.

My only strength is hoping and knowing this will be the last time I'll need/wear glasses for a loonnng time, til at least 40 years old.

Friday April 12, 2013. I won't miss any work, just be in late and out early that week.

Now, who's gonna drive a blind girl around that weekend?

I'll be able to see by my birthday! 25 and contact free!

This eye doc is driving me nuts with the lack of meaningful responses and lack of answering questions, not to mention not really taking me seriously and/or listening to me this whole time. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone else. I don't know if he just treats me like this cuz he thinks I'm so young and stupid, or if he's more knowledgeable than everyone!

He had his secretary lady call me and I asked her questions she said she'd get the answers and call me back. Nothing. I called the doc himself on his cell and said I have questions and want to make an appointment sometime this...year, hello? He called back and talked to me about appointments (to the best of his ability you could tell) and didn't answer my questions. The lady called back and only talked about appointments with me, she didn't even pause for a break to let me confirm the appointment was a good time for me. She's a real quick talker.

Then I asked about the questions I asked earlier and she, not being the eye doc, could only read me the paperwork I already have and read. Gee thanks. I have read it and thus I have questions about the specifics of it. She first asked "When the doc called you he didn't talk to you about those questions?" cuz apparently she gave him a paper with some things to talk about and all he did was appointments. He seems to make her look bad when he doesn't do what she's asked him to do and then she has to play doctor and/or know-it-all and come up with some satisfactory answers. I know how that feels. Ralph made me a liar and made me look bad all the time. Jim does that on occassion too to make himself look more competent then the paperwork HE 'read', approved, and signed which happened to be wrong. I think I would hate to work for that doc too.

I feel like I'm gipping myself a little bit tho because Evan happened to hear that Hoopes is doing a $1,000 discount on Lasik and I figgered if this doc takes forever to get to my appointment I'd have time to go over to Hoopes and see what they can do for me, right? But the doc told me a date two weeks from now so I don't have time to go to Hoopes. I dunno, I've read this paperwork and know the Lifetime Warranty policy and requirements already and feel comfortable with that and I don't know Hoopes warranties or policies. But it would mean the difference of $1,000 verses 10% of $3,790... Either way I shouldn't have to pay $4,000. I feel like one of those situations "you get what you pay for" and if they take $1,000 off to fix my weird eyes there is some 'catch' to the deal like no lifetime warranty or something...

April is on Monday!

Meanwhile I'm going to pay all my bills next week. All the bills I have gained since being a home owner, and those bills I've had previously. I've compared all the expenses to my paycheck and yes, I feel poor... It's not that bad, but not what I'm used to I guess. I will survive! As long as I don't get shot in this neighborhood before I'm 30. Geez, I'm only 5 years away from 30... man oh man. Ha! I'm never gonna get married!
