I got my whole entire life, which apparently only existed since 2000 (when Scott was born), on a 1TB external hard drive.

I obviously don't need a 1TB, 500GB prolly woulda been fine, but hey it was on sale.

I got every picture I can possibly find in digital format on my drive.

I got every music CD I have on my drive.

I have every document I ever recall making cept for school stuff on the drive.

And I've only used like 36GB.

But hopefully my pictures and things will grow as I get older and take more pictures and go on more trips, get more nieces and nephews, etc.

It is such a relief to know where it all is though. I often wondered what I'd have to do if I suddenly lost this job/computer and how I would get all my info off of it.

Over the years I have collected bits and pieces of my life onto CD's, DVD's and USB Flash drives. But now after going through all those devices, have put it ALL on one portable drive.

Phew. Shoulda done this a long time ago.
