Listening to: Alan Jackson - Sissy's Song
Feeling: weary
Lagoon.
With Braxton.
All day Saturday.
June 6, 2009.
Missed the air show.
Had fun from 11am-7pm.
8 hours is a long day
For a 5 year old
I was just tired of
standing
We went to Laguna Beach
from like 11-2pm
It hurt, the bottom of the pools like ripped up your feet and if you fall, like most kids do, you scrapped up your knee and ended up bleeding. It was like a gravel road under water. It woulda been fun if all you did was get a tube and ride down the slides. Not play in the pools.
We rode:
Ladybug Bop - Braxtons favorite apparently - the only one he'll really smile on
Jumping Dragon (the same as Musik Express really)
The Bat
The Odysea - another one of Brax's favorites
Turn of the Century (swings) - My fav!
Terror Ride (haunted house)
White Roller Coaster (oldest wood roller coaster still alive prolly) - my other fav!
Tilt-a-Whirl
Space Scrambler
The Train
and then we watched some performances
The only ones he didn't like were the Haunted House and the White Roller Coaster (too old fer him).
He wanted to do all the rides we haven't done before. There's...very few now we haven't done. And then ones I refuse to go on. :D
He wanted to do Rock-o-Plane. I told him his father would go with him. Too many circles for me. Ugh.
He wanted to do the Odysea in which you get wet with random sea animals squirting you. I told him to switch seats so he'd get wet instead of me. And he says "But I don't want to get wet!" -_- Wait, then why are we on this ride then? And where does it say that I have to get wet in order for him to have fun?! He just wanted to control the lil' sea ship going up and down as I screamed and ducked the whole time. Oy. Boys and their flying toys.
While in line for the Odysea three little punks butted in line in front of me. The lady in front of me asks "Weren't you behind me?" I was like...yeah. I asked one of the boys "Did you start at the end of the line?" He said no. I said "Would you like to try it?" It's kinda kosher to do such a thing. Too many punks in that place I tell ya. Those teens that are just allowed to ran around with no parent supervision, ya know, those ones that you wonder who or what raised them. They're old enough to know better.
We had Arbys at like 1-1:30pm. Then around 6 we had a Blue Raspberry Icee and a Churro. The weather started to go bad around 7 so we left. He was afraid of lightning and thunder.
He created a nice string of drool on the way home. I ran into the new construction and watched all the accidents and was happy to go slow all the way home.
I felt bad I kinda starved him but we only had $20 and that was lacking as the day went so we came back and ate. Food there is expensive.
Then he announced that he didn't yell at me all day. I didn't realize that was the goal for the day. "Be nice and don't yell at her or she wont want to play with you again". And he didn't yell at me all day. But of course, the yelling commenced soon after arriving home.
We didn't fight at all really. He just wouldn't speak loud enough and he wouldn't ever let go of me. Ever. You couldn't lose that kid even if you wanted to.
It was nice to go to Lagoon and not have any complaints or sickness. I think, I have to admitt that I'm gettin kinda sick of Lagoon already. I should go home to Logan the weekends I'm not at Lagoon. :D Don't worry. The fun will all come back one day.
