The coolest book ever!
Okay so I had a few minutes before work and I usually go to the coffee shop/book store there on Main Street....I know I shouldn't go into a store that sells journals....I didn't mean to!
The book is called "Wreck This Journal: To create is to destroy" by Keri Smith
It's sooo awesome!!
Basically its a kind of...journal...that you can destroy. Ya know, like how you destroy your textbooks? Each page tells you another way to wreck the book... Examples like:
Burn this page
Crack the spine
Get this page wet
Rip this page out
Make this page a paper airplane
Glue random items on this page
Stain this page
Scribble or doodle on the cover or title page
Smear your writing
Trace your hand on this page
Cover this page in dirt
Use this page as a napkin
Throw this page in the wash and put it back
Crap like that! It's soo ...just fun! To use your time and energy just to destroy a book. The other day I was on the bus with my pencil stabbing holes in one of the pages and everyone stared at me. I was glowing with happiness. I can't put this book down! It's like a scrapbook that...isn't..pritti in the end!
The funny part is this book is: "Dedicated to perfectionists all over the world"
Which would be me. Which is why it's so fun. To feel like a kid again. Have it memorble, fun, knowing it doesnt have to be perfect, in fact thats the point, but yet time consuming.
So I went and bought a random $14 book and by the time it got home it had ripped pages and holes in it... mwhahahaa You always have a book in mind that you use/read so much you can tell by its looks....well this will be mine. My other one is my BOM I didn't put down for like a year. But this I will not worry about attempting to keep intact.
Oh yeah, and I had a blind date last night.
If you let your imagination go, will it return?
