Feeling: pleased

I finally made it to Lagoon! And Frightmares!

White coaster was first, of course, then on to Cliff Hanger, Wicked, Mouse Trap, Musik Express, forget the Spider and wasn't really interested in Colossus. Over to the swings and the pirate boat, tickle the tummy rides. We wandered over to the new Bombora. Apparently its supposed to be like waves, it felt kinda cool, it was short though. Just a bigger version of Puff the Magic Dragon kid ride if you ask me. Then we decided to get some expensive Subway and watch the Chainsaw and Monster Mash shows on the stage. Then we went over to Re-entry, lost our breath and almost our food, and then waited in line for the Samauri. I thought it was like another version of the Cliff Hanger, but the Hanger was really calm and just hung you upside down, but Samauri literally threw your body around in every direction.

Then we decided to do some haunted houses before it was too late. We had five to choose from and we could go once through all of them. So we started with the lamest, the Junkyard with just skulls, skeletons, junk, spiders, rats, and neon paint in dark places, etc. Then we moved on to the "scariest" rated haunted house, Night Walk. Waited in line forever and it seemed...lame. Evan was freaking out. And apparently when he freaks out he's a gabber. He talked and talked to all the monsters and participated/went along with their threats, etc. I thought he'd be pulling me from room to room so fast, but it was me pulling him away so he couldn't actually have a convo with the actors in every room. But he only screamed when he ran into a fake spider hanging from the ceiling.

I thought it was lame cuz there were like three people in an open room just sitting, pacing, running, etc. with "scary" makeup. No hiding, no surprises, you know who is there, no distractions, just a few in-your-face moments so they can growl or say something scary. I generally dislike the haunted house aspect because most ppls tactics are in-your-face and usually going after the girl. I find it annoying. Get out of my face and he's freaking out more than I will. And I have to admit that the Nightmare on 13th was freaky to me, with all its animatronics, because it was dealing with the senses, which are powerful tools the human race needs. So real actors jumping out and saying boo sometimes juss doesn't scare me as much as feeling the walls collasped on me or walking on an unknown substance or feeling something on my face but not seeing it.

Then we headed over to Lockdown. Same concept, lame. They had different, more creative props and effects tho. I enjoyed seeing their creativity. Like the gun one of the inmates shoots at a wall and everyone has to walk past the inmate to the next room, so she pulls the trigger when ppl walk in front of her and they all run screaming. One girl in front of us froze while her friends ran, but one came back to get her. Kinda funny. But we had an annoying group of girls behind us who kept stepping on me they were following so close. But generally, a bunch of skinny twigs of teenage inmates do not scare me, now get some tatted out big burly men in there and I'd be scared.

The haunted house called Deception was my favorite though. It actually scared me, made me jump a few times, lots more creativity, and the actors didn't juss...sit there or run around a room trying to be crazy.

I wasn't so sure about going into the "Fun House" considering the entrance was the shape of a clown. I dislike clowns. But there was no line and it was the last house to see so we went. 3D glasses was kinda cool. I guess my favorite was the black wall with neon polka dots and the costume of the kid who blended in when you wear the glasses.

After the haunted houses we only had time for two more rides. We did Wicked again and I wanted to go on the White Coaster again, just to start and finish my trip like I usually do. Then we sat down for a bit and watched the end of the "Scream" show on the stage. I swear all these actors and singers came from a cracker jack box. If they can sing, they sing stupid songs and they can't dance. If they can dance they can't sing and dance at the same time. And I still dont get the selection of songs.... But it was kinda interesting to watch them carefully dance with each other and save their breath in order to sing. By then it was 10pm and time to go home. Sigh.

I sooo did not want that day to end. I think I'll need to get a pass next summer.

But the next day I got to see my Resa. She came over and we went to the Aviary at Liberty Park and took a couple hours looking and taking pictures. We walked around the park, found an interesting group of ppl and a one-beat drum circle, and went and sat in the sun. The weird kind of weather when its not cold but its not warm. Then we came back to my place and I made her spaghetti with angel hair. We watched Hunchback of Notre Dame where we analyzed the movie and I think she seems scarred for life and we had ice cream. It twas a fun time, a fun weekend that I didn't want to end.

Happy Bday Dustin! I'm not sure how old you are, but you are somewhere between 30 and 26. I wanna say 28, but it feels like you've already gotten there once before.

To the boy who tortured and stole from me during childhood and created nightmares for me through his teenage years.

To the boy who made mistakes -with- a mistake, through responsibility out the door and eventually got it back somewhat (prolly cuz of a girl influence). The child wasn't necessarily a mistake, but the girlfriend/wife totally was.

To the boy who was -supposed- to get me my first niece, not nephew.

To the boy who now takes care of his son and has found a wife and another son to add to the equation to live and work together.

To the boy who likes his brother in law, adores said brothers baby girl, and hates his bro-in-laws girlfriend.

To the boy who moved in Sarah's house for about 5 years and finally gave up to committment.

To the boy who loves to cook, does bakery for a living, and fixes the general Idahian meal for dinner for his family almost every night. Meat and potatoes.

To the one who holds fast and true to the manly out-west traditions of hunting, camping and fishing. The same boy who takes his family out to rendevous and thinks its normal.

To the long haired hippie who is balding rapidly.

To the boy who tends to give the same look when shocked, surprised, mad, annoyed, or appalled. How annoying it is. I've never gotten used to that. Stupid bugged out eyes. What does that even mean?!

To the boy who likes to talk. I'll leave it at that.

To the boy who loves his son dearly and would protect him from his biological mom when necessary.

To the boy who works so hard to provide for his family and sacrifices much (learned from his father, like it or not) but tries to enjoy the little things in life in the process of financial strain.

To the boy who deserves happiness.

To the boy who wears his shoes, jeans, and shirts until they practically fall off of him.

To the stubborn boy who hopefully will one day see the truth for what it is and come back to it, and bring his family with him.

To the brother I love, but may never understand, even though he's the closest sibling similar to me and my personality and looks.

I suppose he's also the brother who can no longer say he is the 'black sheep' of the family. Well, I guess he can still be the black one, I'll just be the gray one. Well, at least two out of the four children did things correctly.

Dearest brother, I hope you feel loved with the way I treat you, visit you, spoil you and your kids, and hang out with you. I hope you've always felt love that despite the past. My feelings have never changed about loving you, not shunning or hating you, and keeping you in my life. But sometimes I do think about the past, but its not in my nature to hold grudges. I continue to wish you happiness and love. I may never have the copacity to -fully- love you as if the past never happened, as if you acknowledged and apologized, but I do wish to try to love like that, but I am only human.

Just know that I will always be there for you and your family and I will help as much as I am able. I will love you as much as I can and will try not to treat you differently than my other siblings, even though it is a little bit different. I wish you to follow your dreams and reach your full potential, cuz I know its in there.

Much love brother, Lil' Sis.
