This is all ridiculous.
I went to the post office to get .42 and .17 and .84 cent stamps. I was relieved to find they finally have .17 in a roll instead of sheets. Then I asked for .83 or .84 whatever they make nowadays - I can't keep up. He told me they don't make them anymore. Ridiculous. .84 cents is mandatory for every flat that is sent out. How are people in the business world supposed to make that sufficent? He said we have to do this lil' system of using a .75 and two .4 cent stamps to get to .83 and THEN put more postage on depending on how much the flat weighs. Ridiculous. I don't have time to put like 10 stamps on my flats when I send them out. Forget this. I just took my .42 and .17 stamps and left.
Then I went to court. I stood in line for like 30 minutes. Ridiculous. Patsy gave me executions that need to be served by the Sheriff and wanted to know if the court had a Sheriffs box in the basement. I didn't want to have to mail it directly to the Sheriffs office. It's a lot of postage. For the 5th time I swear I have been told they do not have a sheriffs box anymore - which I'm sure I've told Patsy. They really need a sheriffs box. Ridiculous.
Meanwhile while standing in line there happened to be a malfunction with the printers. The printers that I would be needing in order to get a receipt for my execution I want to serve. Ridiculous. Oy. Just my luck. Going to stand in line for 30-45 minutes just to find out I can't do the paperwork I need to do and I'll have to take it all back. Grr. Ridiculous.
Then when I finally got up to a clerk, I got the one new kid that didn't know what the hell he was doing. He spent most of the time looking up the directions on what to do with my paperwork in his lil' binder thing and the rest of the time he wandered around the office with my paperwork trying to find someone to ask questions to. Ridiculous. Then he finally issued the execution for me and gave me my paperwork back.
I asked him if they had a Sheriffs box - knowing he had no clue and would tell me no like all the other clerks have said to me in the past. After explaining to him what the sheriffs box was, he wandered around again asking people if we had a box or not. Ridiculous. He finally got smart and asked someone older than him (obviously worked there longer than he did) and she was kind of in another department. She said they did - it was behind the criminal clerks counter. Grr. Wish I woulda known that BEFORE. Ridiculous. So I just had him dump all my paperwork into the box and hope it was the right and enough copies of the paperwork and left. If I screwed up - we'll find out later. Right now I'm tired of this waiting and stupidity.
I felt like I seriously did something wrong with the paperwork I put in the 'sheriffs box'. So I kinda stayed and worried about it. But then I gave up caring and left. But then I remembered that I had paid for the execution to be issued and I needed the reciept. So I went back thru security and walked up to the window and asked if he had my receipt. He digs in the garbage can, pulls up a ball of crumpled paper and throws it at me. Ridiculous. Very professional.
I need a time out.

Part Two of Ridiculousness:
Back to court today to file some stuff. I figgered I'd check up on my Execution and my Order of Restitution (eviction). I figgered my paperwork would still be in the Sheriffs box and I just wanted to add to it. I went and asked about the Sheriffs box. The lady said they didn't have a sheriffs box. (They all direct me to the constables box) Ridiculous. I was told there was one just yesterday! I had them put my paperwork IN the stupid box! What the hell?! Then where did my papers go? After this question she suddenly remembered they had one. Ridiculous. Apparently it's only for criminal cases; which would make sense with the box being in the criminal department. Did we fail to mention this to me yesterday? Of course they did b/c they don't know what the hell their doing!
Well, the sheriff saw my executions weren't criminal and sent them back and one of the clerks was just going to mail them back to the office. But hey, since I was there I'd just pick it up. Ridiculous.
Then I ventured on to find out how my Order was progressing. Apparently...it's not. I asked the downstairs clerk and she said it hasn't come back signed yet. So I went upstairs to the judges clerk and asked her if it had gotten signed by the judge yet and on it's way downstairs. She said she didn't have it and said downstairs should. Ridiculous. So in the end neither of them have my Order and they are both blaming each other for it. I don't really have control or care who did what. I just have one question: What the hell happened to my Order of Restitution?!
So I was being sent back and forth and neither of the clerks helped me and I have a floating Order somewhere in this courthouse. Ridiculous. I quit. Note to self: On second thought I think I won't work in a court house.
I just want the Order to go to the judge, have him sign it, send it back to me, issue the writ and then give it all to the constable to serve the eviction. That's all I ask. Sign the stupid paper and give it back! Ridiculous.
I've decided I don't like that judges clerk. Ralph told me I can't piss her off cuz he gets punished. So the whole world is going to continue blaming the downstairs clerks. And thus I, or anyone else in this world, will not get anywhere with litigation. Ridiculous. I'll try again later. Another search on another day.
I need another time out.
