Sara Smiles

So young and full of life

Her smile planted in my mind

Forever in my heart and soul

The innocence and delight

Shine in her eyes

Her laughter echoes, carries

Throughout the years as the memory fades

The sunlight that surrounded her

As we twirled in a circle

The vibrant green grass behind her

Seemed to grow each passing moment

Her dress flying in the breeze we created

My arms tight around her

She tilted her head back

Her arms spread out like an airplane

Her squeal of delight and terror

In her two year old way she exclaimed

"Don't let me go!"

I prayed with all the room I had in my heart

That the laughter and smiles will never end

Baby girl, I'd never let you go
