I think I have a test today.
They just announced the new presidency of the church. President Thomas S. Monson, of course, with Henry B. Eyring as first counselor and Dieter F. Uchtdorf as the second counselor.
ah ha! I knew Uchtdorf was coming in! I
knew it! Anyways.. I told someone that this weekend...who was it so I can say I told ya so. I think it was mom that said they'd put in someone where we could all pronounce his name. I said naw, it'll be the one we can't pronounce.
They had them together there at the Church office building to be introduced and asked questions for the media. Some of those questions were...uh... funny or simply weird. One of the questions was about Monsons health. Basically asking if he was going to die soon or something. He said he was in good health, he'll prolly go out like Hinckley did. I like how Monson was not being... 'cheesy' like "We are all children of God" even though that's not really that cheesy, but to the outside world that kinda sounds funny.
I had a good feeling about Monson while he was answering those questions. I think I'm gonna like him a lot. He's blunt; which is the way I need to receive counsel, thats for sure.
Hey I was thinking, at least Eyring, Hinckley and Monson got a picture together for the few short months they served together. But now they have to go do another picture...all different positions too.
"If you think Hinckley is going to be idle on the other side of the veil, you can think again. He doesn't know the meaning of the word idle."
